‘Nova’ kelime anlamı olarak yeni, parlayan yıldız, ’Novavon’ ise her yönden okunabildiğinden, yansıma anlamına gelebilir. Quartet’in oluşumundan beri grubun içinde yer alan üyeleri, bu düşüncelerden yola çıkarak grubun alacağı ismi kendileri üretmişlerdir. Müzik insanın iç dünyasını dinleyiciye yansıtabime, duyguları notalar yoluyla aktarmak olduğu düşünülürse; hepsi genç ve yeni soluklar taşıyan bu Quartet için daha iyi bir isim düşünülemez. Repertuvarlarında yer alan Barok, Klasik ve Romantik eserlerin yanı sıra, Modern ve isimlerinin taşıdığı anlam gibi yeni ve farklı müzik repertuvarlarıyla da konser programlarını sürdüreceklerdir.
While "Nova" means brand new, shining star; "Novavon" can be judged as "reflection" because of the words same pronunciation in both ways. The members of the group, who witnessed Quartet's born have chosen this name under inspiration of this situation. If we think music is a way that reflects the musicians inside to the listener and the expression of the feelings with musical notes; than there cannot be a better name for this young and fresh Quartet. Beside the Baroque, Classical and Romantic work of arts in their repertoire; with the following concert programs there will be Modern, new and different repertoires as the meaning of their names.
